FAIR PLAY
During the AFA Cup, great importance is attached to fair play and respect for each other. The tournament committee therefore assumes that punishing teams will be unnecessary. We are convinced that all teams accept the decisions of the referees. In order to apply the fair play regulations, the tournament committee calls on all coaches and captains to exclude players who do not wish to adhere to the rules of the game or display unsportsmanlike behavior from the remainder of the tournament. If there is misconduct towards referees, excessive fouls and/or unsportsmanlike behavior during the tournament, strict action will be taken and disqualification may be a consequence!
-If a player receives a yellow card, a 5-minute time penalty is linked to this.
-If a player receives a second yellow card during the tournament, he will be suspended for the next match.
-If a player receives a red card (direct red or two yellows in one match), he will be suspended for 2 matches.
POINTS & RANKING
The points are counted during the group matches as follows:
1. Win = 3 points
2. Draw = 1 point
3. Loss = 0 points
The numbers 1 and 2 of each group automatically qualify for the Knock-out phase (16 teams). If there are not enough teams available for this, this will be supplemented with the best number 3 until the number of 16 teams is reached.
Group ranking
a> Most points achieved
b> Best goal difference
c> Mutual result.
* If there is still a tie based on the above rules, the following applies:
* In the event of a tie, a penalty shoot-out! The penalty rules also apply if no decision has been made in the Knock-out phase after regular playing time. So there will be no extra time!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Attention! The organization will take tough action against teams if it concerns fraud with regard to the player lists. We simply want to prevent problems around this point, very simple. Teams that do not comply with this will be disqualified immediately prior to the tournament. Registration fees will also not be refunded, so remain sporting and honest towards the organization and all other participating teams at all times. Teams that are and/or will be disqualified are excluded from the next edition!
After the AFA Cup, there will be an extensive evaluation with the coaches, in which it will be discussed how the collaboration with all coaches and players involved was experienced and the coaches can possibly come up with suggestions and/or tips for the upcoming editions. If the collaboration has been satisfactory, these coaches will remain for the 2024 edition.
During irregularities on the field, the coaches and organization of the AFA Cup are the only designated persons who may enter the field to tackle this problem. The organization is the only party that can come to a decision to punish these teams and possibly disqualify them. Negotiating about this decision is excluded. As a coach, you are responsible for the behavior of all your players both on and off the field.
The referees and linesmen are always an important link in any tournament or match. This tournament will be no different because without these people we cannot play matches in a correct and friendly manner. The organization of the AFA Cup has therefore made clear agreements regarding the referees and linesmen. Irregularities of any kind against the referees are prohibited at all times. The referees can and have the right to send players off the field immediately or even ban them from the tournament in consultation with the organization. In case of fraud or possible irregularities, the organization AFA Cup can immediately ban a team or player from the tournament, regardless of the state of affairs!
The Organization can be reached by phone (or via WhatsApp) both before and during the tournament. If you have any questions and/or comments, please let us know (in good time). The instructions given by the AFA Cup employees must be followed at all times. It is also expected that all AFA Cup employees are treated with respect.
Everyone is requested to treat the beautiful Zegersloot sports park of sports association A.R.C. with respect. So clean up your mess and park cars, bicycles and mopeds in the designated areas. We also request the teams to leave the changing rooms tidy.
Only players from the teams that are currently playing their match are allowed to enter the field. We request visitors to remain behind the fences and advertising boards (so the teams that are not playing also remain behind the advertising boards).
If damage is caused to the property of sports association A.R.C. or the AFA Cup? Then the damage will be recovered from the perpetrator(s). Also, just like with theft, violence, discrimination and/or sexual harassment, the police will be notified.
Never leave valuables behind. The organization of the AFA Cup and Association A.R.C. accept no liability and/or responsibility for loss, theft or destruction of personal property. We recommend leaving valuables such as jewelry at home as much as possible and it is also wise not to carry too much cash with you. If necessary, have a trusted person look after your valuables.
Possession and/or use of drugs are not permitted in and around the sports complex. This is a general rule and applies to everyone. If this is found and/or used, the organization has the right to disqualify the person, player(s) or team(s) in question or remove them from the complex.
Possession and use of alcohol are not permitted in and around the sports complex. This is a general rule and applies to everyone. If this is found and/or used, the organization has the right to disqualify the person, player(s) or team(s) in question or to remove them from the complex.
Exception: When the tournament has been completed successfully, the organization and the tournament committee certainly do not mind if alcoholic beverages are consumed. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at all times in the canteen. (Taking alcoholic beverages with you is prohibited at all times).
Read these house rules carefully with the players of your team because it is very important that everyone is aware of what is expected of you and your team by the organization of the AFA Cup.
